The Candidate shall have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (Class XII) of Board of Higher Secondary Examination. Govt. of Kerala with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as subjects or any other examinations accepted as equivalent there to by the Kerala Technological University (KTU).

The Candidate shall have secured a minimum of 50% marks for Mathematics as well as for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

In the case of candidates belonging to socially and educationally backward classes (referred to in G.O (P)208/66/Edn. Dated 2.5.1966, as amended from time to time) the minimum marks requirements are 45% for mathematics and 45% for mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

In the case of SC/ST students only a pass in the Higher Secondary examination (Class XII) with the above subjects.

The candidates shall also satisfy the conditions regarding physical fitness as may be prescribed by the University.

Out of the total seats available 90% seats are under the state merit and 5% are reserved for co-operative sector and the remaining 5 % are under the NRI quota. The students are admitted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) based on the rank obtained in the entrance test and observing all reservation norms as applicable to the State Govt. In the case of NRI seats the students are admitted based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. This college is the choice of top rank holders in the CEE. Eligibility for admission is as per the rules and regulations of the Commissioner of the Entrance Examinations, which are stipulated by the Govt. of Kerala, and as per the course regulations of the Kerala Technological University (KTU). The eligibility criteria are included in section 6.1.

Admission to lateral Entry Seats Will Be based on the rank in the Lateral Entry Test conducted by Directorate of Technical Education.

B.Tech(Working Professionals)

Professionals working in Registered Industry / Organization (Central / State) / Private/Public Limited Company/ MSMEs located within a 50 KM radial distance from the Institute.

AND

Minimum of ONE Year Full-time / Regular working Experience.

AND

The candidate should have:

Passed a minimum of THREE years / TWO years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (5% relaxation for the SC/ST students) in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology.

OR

Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (5% relaxation for the SC/ST students) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.

OR

Passed B.Voc/3-year D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.

There shall be no age limit to apply for admission to the course.

The applicants are to qualify the Lateral Entry Test for admissions to BTech Programme conducted by LBS Kerala for the Directorate of Technical Education.

The colleges are to prepare the rank list of applicants. The applicants are to be ranked on the basis of the rank obtained in the Lateral Entry Test. Merit in this rank list and the reservation policy of the State of Kerala are to be scrupulously followed during the admissions.

In the absence of applicants who are qualified in the LET, other candidates will also be considered. Such candidates are to be ranked based on the percentage of marks obtained for the qualifying programme. B.Tech graduates who have graduated in one discipline are eligible to be considered for pursuing a B.Tech degree in another discipline. Such candidates will be considered in the absence of LET qualified applicants (refer AICTE circular No. F.No. AICTE/P&AP/ Misc/2020 dated 09.08.2021)
