Dept of Mechanical Engineering
The Mechanical Engineering Department has been an epitome of brilliance at the very outset with the backing of an efficient and specialized faculty. Every year we enroll roughly 66 new students. Excellence in teaching and research is the hallmark of Dept Of Mechanical Engg. This department provides sound theoretical background as well as good practical exposure to the students. The department focuses on overall development of the students imparting soft skills through live Projects, Association activities, Industrial visits, Seminars, Group discussions etc.
DEPARTMENT LABORATORIES
The department is well equipped with laboratories like Fluid Mechanics , Strenght of Material , Material testing , Mechanical workshops etc. The laboratories are periodically modernized to reflect the rapid changes in technology.
Material Testing Lab: The well-equipped lab has a variety of apparatus for conducting various experiments. The experimental setups include universal testing machine model utn40, impact testing machine, Vickers hardness testing machine, brinnell hardness testing machine, Rockwell hardness testing machine, Spring testing machine, Torsion testing machine, Metallurgical micro scope, Four probe setup, Hall effect setup, Magnetic Hyterisis loop tracer, Disc polishing/lapping m/c, Double disk polishing M/c 8’ dia, Green compression strength machine boira type, Sieve apparatus 2to4 micron grain size, Permeability test apparatus.
Fluid Mechanics and Machinery Lab:
This lab has basic fluid mechanics set-up. The lab is equipped with different flow measuring set-ups such as venturimeter, orifice-plate, pitot tube, rotometer etc., where students can visualize the basic theory of working of the flow meter. The lab also has Reynolds’s setup, free-forced vortices setup, flow over open channel and impact of jet set-up, where students can fortify their theoretical knowledge. The lab also has some advanced research set-up such as constant temperature hot-wire anemometer, pulsating flow meter, where some advanced research work can be performed.
Machine Shop: Students are introduced to Lathe, Milling machine, Shaper, Slotting machines and Grounding machines here.
Heat and Mass Transfer Lab:
State of the art facilities for understanding the Principles and Machines of different modes of Heat and Mass Transfer are introduced here
CAD/CAM Lab: CAD-CAM
The applications of computers are more and more popular in modern industry and business. Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided-Manufacturing (CAM) were developed in order to shorten the process of designing and manufacturing. The main objective of this laboratory is to provide the students with the knowledge and techniques of the research and application of CAD/CAM.The CAD-CAM Laboratory has the latest Software & Hardware.

Thermal Engineering Lab
Thermal Engineering Laboratory is equipped with test setups for different types of heat engines, air compressors, blowers, and an advanced technology steam boiler and turbine. Facilities are available for testing fuel and lubricants analysis of exhaust gases. Other test facilities cover refrigeration and air conditioning, low-speed wind tunnel etc.
Metrology
The Laboratory is equipped with Sophisticated Metallurgical microscope, microscopes including AXIOVERT 25 Carl-zeiss, Germany Heat treatment set-up, Jomini End Quench test apparatus foundry sand testing facilities and standard specimens.Lab

Projects provides exposure and experience in specific Areas arm the student with all the weaponry to face the industrial world. Students has done various projects in organization like HAL,IOCL,ISRO,DRDO, FACT, KELTEC, TTP, BPCL.

Department library provides students with reference facilities. Here students can gather information about seminars and projects. Library holds books and journals related to Mechanical department.
